DetailsDescription and origin: this stunning long Caucasian runner is from the Shirvan family. This kind of runners uses to have a column of hexagons. In this case, hexagons have been originally replaced by diamonds. Their shape has been simplified to the maximum and the wool selected with powerful and bright colours. Hexagon-column runners are illustrated pp. 208-211 in "The oriental rugs, Volume 1 Caucasian", Ian Bennett.
