DetailsDescription and origin: Caucasian Karabagh carpet. A rich series of designs includes three diamond medallions with jagged tips and bird head abstractions on the contours, palmettes with cruciferous flowers, striking main border with large star flowers or crab border. This variation of the cruciferous flower is also referred to by experts as the Jerusalem border. Interesting decorative collector's item with great charisma.
Age: early 20th century
Dimensions: approx. 253 cm x 118 cm
Condition: overal good condition for a carpet of this age. Black color wool is partly oxidized due to the use of iron die. Ends and edges with signs of age and wear (see photos).
